It’s not about perfection.

ABOUT MY BLOG

It’s autonomy day today.

Wasn’t around last year to witness this day dedicated to drinking and drinking only. People start drinking  at around 4am.

Was around uni just now and managed to catch a feel of the day.

I realise that I’m such an uptight , rigid and unflexible person.

So judgemental and very hypocritical.

So what if people drink? So what if I don’t drink?

Does that in any way mean I have higher moral standard than anyone there who was drinking and getting drunk?

Maybe.

But does that in any way make me more worthy of God’s love and the offer of His salvation?

Not at all.

Not at all.

Who am I to judge?

I’ve come to realise that I am NOTHING.

I am nothing indeed.

I have come to understand that God is faithful, I am NOT.

God is holy, I am NOT.

God is love, I am NOT.

But one day, I will be perfect.

One day I will be exactly like Him.

But for right now it’s not about being perfect.

And thus the tagline for this blog, it’s not about perfection.

Came across this written in my sermon notes :  ” I am You-nique”

Thought it was cool, thus the blog address.

Dene told me that I often get very personal in my sharing and that often is very challenging.

I guess that came about from blogging.

I guess this post is to define my blog.

I want it to be personal. I want people to be able to relate to it. I want christians to be encouraged by it. I want it to reflect the way I feel about this world. I want to express my views. I want to keep in touch with people.

And most importantly I want to keep it real.

It’s not about perfection.
